Your first reflexology appointment will last approximately an hour (sometimes longer) and involves firstly talking in detail about the nature of your main health issues.<\/p>\n

You will then remove your shoes and socks and lie on a comfortable treatment couch in a relaxing, peaceful room. I will massage and apply pressure to different points on your feet, ankles and calves whilst you relax. As I work on your feet, I will note any problem areas.<\/p>\n

After your treatment, I will explain to you any particular health issues observed, and make recommendations for you to help support your health and well-being.<\/p>\n

Many people find the experience very relaxing and report that they have a great nights\u2019 sleep afterwards!<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The course of treatment sessions varies with some individuals needing several weekly sessions at the beginning but usually clients enjoy sessions 4 \u2013 6 weekly for health maintenance.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

There may be some discomfort or tenderness in some places but it is fleeting and is an indication of congestion or imbalance in a corresponding part of the body. For the most part the sensation is very pleasant, soothing and relaxing.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Reflexology is non-invasive, relaxing, and natural. It is therefore generally considered an extremely safe treatment for most people. However, it should not be carried out if there are; Any foot injuries\/ broken bones, a high temperature or infection, or in the first 3 months of pregnancy.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n How will I feel after a treatment?<\/b><\/span><\/use><\/svg><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n <\/a>\n

Most people feel extremely relaxed but you may feel a bit light headed or tired after a treatment. It\u2019s best to rest and take it easy for a couple of hours after a treatment if possible and drink plenty of water.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

First appointments last approximately 90 mins and involve talking in depth about the nature of your concerns and your day-to-day lifestyle. We discuss your completed questionnaire & cover issues such as diet, exercise, exposure to stress and physical and emotional well-being. This helps to identify the underlying factors in your life that may be triggering poor health.<\/p>\n

As part of this discussion, we will then organise a realistic and achievable health plan. The plan gives clear guidance about the changes you may need to make in your lifestyle to achieve your health goals. It is a \u2018bespoke\u2019 plan, individually tailored to your personal circumstances.<\/p>\n

I will also recommend any health supplements or products which may support your health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

As part of this discussion, Lisa will agree with you a realistic and achievable health plan. The plan gives clear guidance about the changes you may need to make in your lifestyle to achieve your health goals. \n Food Intolerance Test Info \u2013 How does the test work?<\/b><\/span><\/use><\/svg><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n <\/a>\n

The Food Detective Test is an easy to use \u2018Food IgG antibody test\u2019 with immediate results. Results are ready within 45 mins.<\/p>\n

The reaction tray is spotted with food protein extracts. A small blood sample is taken from a finger-prick and is then diluted and added to the tray.<\/p>\n

In subsequent steps the use of detector and developer solutions identifies the presence of food antibodies through the appearance of one or more blue spots on the tray. Reference to the food layout plan allows the foods causing antibody production to be identified. Once identified, the trigger foods may be eliminated from your diet.<\/p>\n

The test is safe and simple to use and is carried out in clinic.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n Do you need to re-introduce foods before having the  Food Detective Test \u2013 if so, how long for?<\/b><\/span><\/use><\/svg><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n <\/a>\n

In general, we recommend that you follow your normal diet, so that the test will reflect what you usually eat. However, if you have specifically avoided a food for more than three months e.g. wheat or cow's milk, which used to be part of your normal diet and you would like it tested, we would recommend it is reintroduced.<\/p>\n

 The recommendations are to reintroduce the food for 1 week eating a normal portion of that food at least once daily before taking your blood sample. If symptoms occur once the food is re-introduced, we recommend that you discontinue that food and conclude you are still intolerant to it.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n Can I do the Test if I am taking medication?<\/b><\/span><\/use><\/svg><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n <\/a>\n

If you are taking any type of immune suppressant medication which includes steroids, this will affect the results of the test<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n Can I have the test done if I\u2019m pregnant?<\/b><\/span><\/use><\/svg><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n <\/a>\n

The Test should not be carried out during pregnancy due to changes in the immune system or on children under the age of 4.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
